Technical Manager at WBAB

WBAB works with waste collection, recycling centers, and recycling stations. They are now looking for a Technical Manager based in Björnhyttan outside Ludvika. Could that person be you?

WBAB is a municipal company responsible for water, sewage, waste, and recycling in the Ludvika and Smedjebacken municipalities. WBAB has been in operation since June 1, 2016, and is owned by Ludvika Municipality and Smedjebacken Municipality.

WBAB's mission is to ensure a safe, service-oriented, efficient, and sustainable operation.

WBAB is now assigning the technical responsibility to a new role, which, together with colleagues, will ensure that the practical aspects of collection and recycling at the stations and recycling sites function properly.

Practical Information

• Start: The assignment starts as soon as possible and lasts for 6 months with the possibility of extension
• Location: The role is based at Björnhyttan Recycling Center outside Ludvika
• Employment: Full-time, employment as a consultant at Jefferson Wells and leased to WBAB

Job Description

• Development and improvement of existing equipment in collaboration with staff
• Establishment of maintenance schedules for vehicles
• Resolution of technical and practical issues at properties, containers, vehicles, etc.

Examples of this could include:

• Handling a fire in a paper container at a store parking lot, replacing a broken battery box at a recycling station. Booking repairs for a broken hydraulic hose on a garbage truck or ordering extra emptying for overfilled collection containers for plastic at one of the recycling stations.
• Gathering quotes for smaller investments
• Ensuring the right equipment with the right capacity for the company's needs
• Contacting contractors for repairs, renovations, and changes

Qualifications

• Broad technical knowledge, but not necessarily from operational work
• You should be a team player who considers feedback and ideas from staff
• Service-oriented and humble
• Have social skills and not be afraid to contact contractors
• Responsible, as you will be alone in this role

Workplace and Working Hours

• The position is based at Björnhyttan waste facility
• Working hours are 07:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
• Great chance for long-term employment for the right person
• You will have one of the company's vehicles to drive to the various facilities
